Our world is unique; it is filled with living things, it has the water, earth, animals, plants, and most in particular the human being – us! The earth we live in is full of life and colors. Life can be seen and also unseen, seen like the plants and animals, unseen like the bacteria’s and viruses amongst our midst. With all these facts that we now know, science is what comes first in our minds, to the most common things that we see to the most bizarre and unexplainable phenomenon, science is the field of study that seeks to explain and understand all of these. At first the scientist may question themselves what, where, when, why and how these things do came to be, and because of this some of life greatest questions were answered thanks to the never ending thirst for knowledge by scientist and researchers.

And for the reason that science has a great fascination in the world that we live in, how life came to be and has continued all these years, they have made a branch dedicated to the study of life and that is biology. The word biology comes from the word bio which in definition is life, so literally it is the study of life. The person’s that have made themselves experts or researchers in this field are called biologists.
